Third Mountain Coaching serves as a kickstart for people who are ready to take a big step forward.
Whether reimagining a current professional role, tackling a new job, or considering a career change, my clients work to identify personal, professional or business goals and develop a plan to achieve them.
My Coaching Method
The coaching process is thought-provoking and creative, aimed at inspiring the client to explore new ways of seeing herself, her current reality and what’s possible. Through coaching, my clients develop approaches that stick with them, rather than solving one particular problem.
As a leadership and career coach, I guide clients through inquiry that fosters productive self-reflection, challenging and supporting them along the journey. I assume that my clients have the intelligence, creativity, and experience they need to identify their own goals, potential obstacles and ways forward. My job is to help them discover, articulate and commit to the moves they want to make; I do not act as an advisor or consultant.
My coaching practice focuses on women who are looking for either leadership coaching or career coaching. Leadership coaching clients include leaders in senior management positions as well as emerging leaders who are in the early stages of developing their careers. Career coaching clients range from recent college graduates to mid-career professionals to women navigating “retirement.”

Coaching
What skills and talents have I acquired through my education and work experience that I want to continue to exercise and improve?
When I think about peak experiences in my life, things I got “lost in,” what patterns emerge?
What unique strengths and aptitudes show up when I am in my flow?
What kinds of people do I love to work with? To avoid?
What work conditions (commute, space, hours, salary, professional development, etc.) are most important to me?
How do I want my work life to align with my personal values?
Who or what do I wish to serve through my work?
Through career coaching, clients are able to generate job possibilities that reflect the patterns and priorities that have emerged during self-reflection. They prototype those possibilities, narrow down options and pursue next steps. My job as a coach is to guide clients to this point rather than to focus on the specific pursuit of a particular job.
