TESTIMONIALS

  • Mary was able to ask me questions that caused introspection and analysis and clarity of thinking that I’ve never before experienced. Her questions helped me find my answers. And her observations were always revealing - in a good way!

She helped me find the answers to my challenges, which were inside me but just buried in my web of daily distractions.

  • My goals are long term and not a quick fix, but I’m on the path and know how to get there.

The questions Mary would ask me and the astute observations she would have about words I was using or even facial expressions/excitement I exhibit, etc. She saw things I couldn’t see in myself.

  • This coaching engagement showed me that by talking through issues and creating a plan, issues can be much easier to approach and tackle. Like anything, having a well thought out approach is key to growth.

I do not feel like I had an identity as a manager/leader, and now I do.

  • I think one of the great things about how the coaching process worked is that it wasn’t so much a process of learning new things, but distilling, refining, and uncovering things that were already in my head and putting them together in new ways to reveal new meaning. As much as I sometimes wanted Mary to jump in and tell me what to do, what I should be learning, etc., it was a real gift that she didn’t. I think walking the path to discover what I needed to discover made the learning more salient, and gave me a sense of confidence in the conclusions I came to, knowing that they were authentically mine and not just advice I had gotten from an external source.

By the end of my coaching, I was feeling very confident in either authentically being who I was and bringing my whole self to whatever table I was invited or finding something else where I could do that.
